So… you've walked the hills of Bukit Gasing. Maybe even huffed your way up Batu Caves.
But are you ready for the ultimate flex?

The Sky Race is a brand new challenge just announced by Fresh Events Asia.
Happening on 30 August, this Hari Kebangsaan weekend event lets you climb every single floor of Merdeka 118 — all 118 levels and 2,845 stairs — and finish at the actual top of the building.
We're talking Level 118, a floor that's never been open to the public… until now.
Forget rooftop bars. Forget helipads. Level 118 is where the real view is, perched on the second tallest building in the world (yes, right after Burj Khalifa).
The tower stands at a wild 680m, and if you're brave enough to leg day your way to the top, your reward is an insane panoramic shot of the skyline… and honestly, bragging rights for life.

Oh, and no pressure: there's no cut-off time for the challenge. Take it slow and selfie at every floor, or power-climb all the way to make it to the top ASAP.
Soh Wai Ching, the current No. 1 tower runner in the world, will be there

He'll be leading the pre-event training sessions. So, if you're nervous about fainting somewhere near Level 87, he's got your back.
Organised by the same team behind The Music Run and POWERMAN, expect a high-energy, flawlessly executed experience from start to finish.
Here's what you get with your ticket (besides 118 floors of glorious suffering)
- An exclusive running tee and sweatband
- Drawstring bag
- Finisher medal (you can get it engraved too!)
- E-cert, timing results, and access to the Event Village/Expo
- And of course, that iconic Level 118 photo op

Ticket deets:
- RM159 for solo climbers
- RM449 for teams of three
Plus, there are cash prizes for the top 5 male and female finishers.
The Sky Race has partnered with a trusted non-profit, Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK), to support the protection of children's and youths' rights in Malaysia.
This is the kind of event you tell your grandkids about. The kind you post on TikTok or IG story, and maybe cry a little during (mostly from thigh burn).
So, if you've ever wanted to say, "Yeah, I climbed Merdeka 118," now's your chance.
