Moulin Rouge! The Musical is heading to Singapore in February 2027 as part of its first-ever world tour, and it's bringing all the glitz, romance, and iconic music with it
The hit stage show, based on Moulin Rouge! by Baz Luhrmann, will make its Southeast Asia premiere at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands.
If you've seen the movie, you already know the vibe. It's set in Paris in 1899 and follows Christian, a writer who falls for Satine, the star of the Moulin Rouge nightclub.
Since premiering in 2018, Moulin Rouge! The Musical has been seen by over 12 million people worldwide, with productions in cities like New York, London's West End, and across Europe and Asia.
The stage version features over 70 songs, blending classics with modern hits
You'll get everything from old-school French tunes to pop tracks by artistes like Lady Gaga.
The world tour is produced by global theatre company Nick Grace Management, the same team behind massive productions like MAMMA MIA!, Les Misérables, and The Lion King tours.
Meanwhile, the Singapore run is presented by Base Entertainment Asia, which has productions like Hamilton, Wicked, and Disney's The Lion King to the region.
The show picked up 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, and has been praised by outlets like The New York Times and The Guardian for its over-the-top production and high-energy performances.
