In partnership with Taylor's University's School of Media and Communication (SOMAC), TV3 recently launched two youth-focused initiatives: University Check-In Pitch and Pencarian Pelakon Drama Sangat, giving students rare access to the inner workings of professional television.
It was a hands-on learning experience that brought industry bigwigs directly to campus.
Students got to engage with some of Malaysia's most respected creatives, including Nik Amir (director and producer at Lumatic Films), Ariff Zulkarnain (director and producer at Indigo Films), Janna Nick (actress and director), as well as academicians Raziman Bin Sarbini and Azrain Arifin from Taylor's University.
These aren't just familiar faces; they're decision-makers shaping the local entertainment scene. Through this initiative, they became mentors, providing real-time feedback and guidance to students exploring careers in the media industry.

Instead of just studying the media and entertainment industry, SOMAC students got to live it
They pitched scripts, took part in live auditions, and experienced the fast-paced world of TV production — all under the mentorship of seasoned professionals. For many, it was their first real step into Malaysia's entertainment industry.
Whether students dream of directing, reporting, producing, or performing, TV3 offered more than just a peek behind the curtain; it opened doors.
By turning its anniversary into a platform for growth, TV3 reaffirmed its commitment to building a stronger, more vibrant future for Malaysian media.
As TV3 enters its 41st year, the channel isn't just looking back on its legacy — it's looking ahead, championing fresh talent and bold new voices ready to shape the stories of tomorrow
