A Public Service announcement (PSA) by the Kelantan police media team on love scams is hilarious, but the warning hits home

Directed by Corp Azmir Yusof, the 2-minute-32-second video follows a character named Miss Elly sweet-talking Arbaein over a video call.

Things quickly escalate when Miss Elly confesses her feelings and offers him a "surprise", before asking Arbaein to return the favour.

Needless to say… it does not end well.

The skit wraps up with Arbaein being blackmailed over an intimate video, driving home the serious risks of online love scams.

Since its posting on 4 February, the short clip has garnered over 160,000 views and more than 3,000 likes, with many netizens praising its light-hearted yet effective delivery.

One user commented, "Funny, but the message is easy to understand."

Another applauded the storyline, commending the Kelantan police for their creative approach to raising awareness.

"Looks like a joke, but the message really hits. These days, so many people are becoming victims," wrote another.
