Travelling To Thailand Soon? You Need To Submit This Online Form 3 Days Before Your Trip
This new form will come into effect on 1 May.
Thailand is streamlining its entry process for international visitors with the introduction of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)
Set to become mandatory from 1 May, this online form will replace the traditional paper-based TM6 immigration forms, aiming to provide greater convenience for travellers entering the country by air, land, or sea, according to the Thailand Immigration Bureau.
The TDAC allows foreigners to submit essential entry information and health declaration details before their arrival. All foreign visitors travelling to Thailand will be required to complete the TDAC, except for:
- Foreigners transiting or transferring through Thailand without passing through immigration control
- Foreigners entering Thailand using a Border Pass (a document for Malaysian citizens born or residing for over a year in Kedah, Perlis, Kelantan, or Hulu Perak)

a. Personal information: Full name, nationality, phone number, email address, and passport details
b. Trip information: Flight number, purpose of travel, and address in Thailand (hotel or residential address) - Submit the form: Upon submission, travellers will receive an acknowledgement email at the email address provided
- Immigration Counter: Travellers must present their acknowledgement email and travel documents to the immigration officer upon arrival for verification
Meanwhile, Thailand has postponed the 300-baht (about RM39) [tourism tax] (https://says.com/my/lifestyle/thailand-tourism-tax) until the end of this year
Originally planned for a mid-2025 implementation, the Thai government has decided to put the tax on hold to focus on the new TDAC system, The Nation Thailand reported.
The tax will apply to foreign travellers arriving by air. Those entering Thailand by land or sea will also pay 300 baht, but this fee will cover multiple entries within 30- to 60-day period. Discussions are also underway to provide foreigners with access to life and accident insurance.
