Selangor Forestry Department To Launch New Online Permit System On 1 April
Finally.
If you're planning any outdoor activities in Selangor's Permanent Reserve Forests (HSK), take note: starting 1 April, all permit applications must be submitted through the new ePermit system
In a statement on 20 March, the Selangor Forestry Department announced that the new online system aims to streamline the application process, making it more convenient and efficient for visitors.

Previously, applicants had to fill out a form and either:
- Email it to the respective forestry district office, then make payment via bank draft, postal order, or in person at the office, or
- Print out the form and submit it in person, along with payment, at the district office counter.
With the ePermit system, the entire process will now be conducted online, eliminating the need for physical submissions.
The new ePermit system applies to all HSK in Selangor where permits are required for recreational and hiking activities
This includes popular hiking spots and forest reserves such as:
- Klang Gates Quartz Ridge (Bukit Tabur)
- Ketam Hill (Bukit Ketumbar)
- Gunung Nuang
- Sungai Chongkak Recreational Forest
- Kanching Rainforest Waterfall
- Taman Rimba Templer
- Gabai Waterfalls
- Sungai Tekala Recreational Forest
- Chiling Waterfall
A spokesperson told SAYS that the application link will be accessible only on the department's official website starting 1 April

Additionally, all Eco Jungle Parks managed by the Selangor Forestry Department will be closed from 31 March to 1 April in observance of Hari Raya Aidilfitri
Visitors are advised to plan their trips accordingly and avoid visiting these parks during this period.
