KLIA Climbs 6 Spots In Latest Ranking Of World's Top 100 Airports
Singapore's Changi Airport ranks #1… again.
Cover image via Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has climbed six spots to 65th place in the 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards, marking a notable improvement from its 71st position in 2024
This positive shift follows a period of decline, with KLIA's ranking falling from 62nd in 2022 to 67th in 2023, and then to 71st in 2024.
It was ranked ahead of airports such as Barcelona, Budapest, Adelaide, Hamburg, Atlanta, Osaka Itami, and Denpasar Bali.
The annual rankings are based on over 13 million traveller surveys collected from more than 100 countries between August 2024 and February 2025.

Travellers were asked to rate the passenger experience — from check-in and security to dining, comfort, and even washroom cleanliness
The award ceremony was held in Madrid, Spain, on 9 April, as reported by The Straits Times.

In contrast, Singapore's Changi Airport has reclaimed the top spot as the World's Best Airport for 2025, marking the 13th time it has received the prestigious title since the awards began in 2000
The airport took back the No. 1 spot from Qatar's Hamad International Airport, which held the title last year.

Changi also bagged several other titles this year, including:
- Best Airport in Asia
- Best Airport for 60–70 million passengers
- Best Airport Dining Experience
- And even the World's Best Airport Washrooms award (yes, that's officially a thing now)
To top it off, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport retained the title of World's Best Airport Hotel for the 10th consecutive year.
