Batik Air Will Launch Daily Flights From Subang To Bangkok And Kuching This July
No need to travel all the way to KLIA and klia2.
Starting 28 July, Batik Air is launching daily flights from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang Airport) to Bangkok and Kuching
This move not only marks the airline's first international route from Subang, it also signals a fresh chapter for the airport itself.
What was once the go-to spot for domestic flights and old-school travel memories is now being reborn as a modern city airport hub.

If your travel plans include Chatuchak, Tom Yum Goong, or just a quick escape to the Land of Smiles, you'll be able to catch a direct daily flight from Subang to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK)
That means:
- No more racing down the ELITE Highway to make it to KLIA
- No need to factor in three hours just for airport transit
- Yes, you can finally take a cab to the airport without blowing your travel budget
It's a smart urban move, especially for those living in PJ, Shah Alam, or even central KL. You could literally leave work at 6pm and be boarding your Bangkok flight before 8pm.

Meanwhile, the Kuching route isn't just great news for Sarawakians heading home
It also:
- Makes East Malaysia more accessible to Peninsular travellers
- Supports Sarawak's tourism goals, especially for culture and nature lovers
- Offers a KLIA-free route for business travellers, students, and civil servants commuting between capitals

With existing flights to Penang, Kota Bharu, and Kota Kinabalu, these two new routes will bring Batik Air's total destinations from Subang to five
According to Bernama, Batik Air hopes the move will attract more visitors from Thailand and East Malaysia to explore Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
