After nearly 10 years as one of Klang Valley's go-to hangout spots, The Gasket Alley has announced that it is closing down
The announcement was shared on the venue's social media on 10 March, where the team invited the community to join a final event called 'The Last Run', a 3km community run around the space.
The post reads:
"Before we turn the page on The Gasket Alley… we're taking one final lap. Join us for The Last Run, a 3km community run around the space that brought us together."
Participants can either run or walk the route, with organisers encouraging anyone who has memories tied to the venue to come by for the farewell.
The event is free to join, although slots are limited. There will also be limited 'The Last Run' keepsakes available for purchase for those who want a memento from the send-off.

While the post did not explicitly mention the closure in the caption, The Gasket Alley confirmed in the comments that the space will indeed be shutting down
SAYS has reached out to the team for more information, but has not yet received a response at the time of writing, including details on the reason for the closure.
Since opening in 2015, The Gasket Alley has built a reputation as a creative community hub, hosting everything from weekend markets and food pop-ups to art showcases, live performances, car meets, and fitness events

Founded by a group of free-spirited friends in 2015, The Gasket Alley began its journey in Cheras before growing into an industrial brick-and-mortar hub in Petaling Jaya.
Known for its container-style spaces and warehouse aesthetic, the venue attracted independent brands, small businesses, and creatives looking for a place to gather and share ideas.
For now, the farewell run appears to be the first public event marking the venue's final chapter.
If the space ever meant something to you, this might be your last chance to take one final lap around it.
