The Burger Chef (TBC) has officially closed its doors on 28 February, marking the end of the restaurant's chapter after several years of serving diners in the area
In a post shared with customers, the team expressed gratitude for the memories made with guests over the years.
"With grateful hearts, we'll be closing our doors on 28 February 2026. Thank you for every dinner, every celebration, every beautiful moment shared with us."
The story of TBC began during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, when Chef Patrick launched The Burger Chef as a small online burger business
At the time, opening a restaurant was uncertain, so he started selling burgers online using quality meats and ingredients. Alongside that, he also hosted pop-ups and private dining experiences, gradually building a following.
When the dining scene reopened in 2022, Chef Patrick took the next step and opened a physical restaurant in Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI).
Instead of focusing solely on burgers, the concept evolved into a casual fine dining restaurant, serving contemporary European dishes with international influences.
Even though the restaurant has closed, the team isn't disappearing completely
In a recent announcement, they revealed they'll be offering limited-time private dining experiences, where Chef Patrick brings the dishes and fine dining experience directly to guests' homes.
According to the message shared with customers:
- The experience recreates the dishes diners loved at TBC
- Dates are limited
- Reservations will be taken on a first-come basis

So while the restaurant chapter may have come to an end, it looks like fans of TBC may still get to enjoy Chef Patrick's cooking, just in a more personal setting.
