Subang folks, something big is coming back to Subang Parade — or at least, that's what the mall wants us to believe
A few days ago, Subang Parade dropped a mysterious teaser on social media with the words, "The Legend Is Back December 2025" splashed across a red, yellow, and grey background.
The caption added to the mystery, teasing: "TEASER ALERT! The time is finally here to reveal the LEGENDARY 'tenant' returning to Subang Parade! I need your help to pick the perfect teaser poster for the post. Let's keep it a secret… I don't want the sharp-eyed online crowd guessing too fast!"
Naturally, the Internet started speculating and the theories are dripping with nostalgia
Most people think it's MPH making a comeback.
The colour palette alone was enough to send Subang residents into detective mode. With the post's red, yellow, and grey theme, many are convinced that MPH, the beloved bookstore that once anchored the mall, is set to return.
If true, this would be a major nostalgia hit for anyone who grew up browsing comics, cassettes, and schoolbooks there after tuition.
Others have high hopes for Grandy's, the American fast-food chain that used to be a Subang Parade favourite in the '80s and '90s
Known for its hearty Southern-style comfort food, such as fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, and warm dinner rolls, Grandy's hasn't operated in Malaysia for years.
Fans still talk about it like an urban legend, so the idea of a comeback has people (understandably) unhinged.
Some are manifesting Toys "R" Us, while one person even crossed their fingers for Rock Corner, both iconic stores that once lived in Subang Parade but have since closed their shutters for good
