British-Malaysian actor Henry Golding recently took on a fun taste test for LADbible's YouTube series, Snack Wars, where he compared five favourite Malaysian snacks against five British ones

"Alright, so we are doing Malaysia vs England, because I'm half Malaysian and half British," the Hollywood actor explained at the start of the video.

The matchups included Monster Munch vs Mamee Monster, jam tarts vs durian biscuits, Yazoo vs teh tarik, Jaffa Cakes vs glutinous rice balls, and Scampi Fries vs Mi-mi crab crisps.

In the first round, Golding's face lit up as soon as he spotted the packets of Mamee noodles next to Monster Munch on the table

"Ah, no! Why'd you do this to me? These are my two favourite crisps from each nation!" he exclaimed with a smile.

True to his Malaysian roots, he started with the Mamee and knew exactly how to prepare it: crushing it into little pieces, adding the flavouring, shaking it up, and pouring it straight from the packet into his mouth.

"Mmm, hear that crunch? These are amazing and going to be hard to beat. But if anything could, it's pickled onion Monster Munch," he said fairly, also demonstrating his clear love for the vinegary British snack.

In the end, Golding's Malaysian favourites dominated the scoreboard with a 4–1 win, with only the glutinous rice balls losing out to the UK's iconic Jaffa Cakes

It was clear where his heart lay: he raved about durian, demonstrated the proper way to enjoy teh tarik, and fondly referred to Mi-mi crisps as "the flavour of my childhood".

In the comments, Malaysian netizens showered the actor with praise, thanking him for celebrating both sides of his heritage with genuine enthusiasm.
