If you're a Zookeeper or Comforting Sounds still makes you emotional after all these years… this one's going to hit hard

Legendary Danish alt-rock band Mew has announced their farewell tour, and Kuala Lumpur is on the list.

They're set to perform on 12 November at Zepp Kuala Lumpur, and yes — it's confirmed to be their final show together in Malaysia, ever.

2025 marks the band's 30th anniversary, and the farewell performances of frontman Jonas Bjerre

"I have decided to pursue other creative endeavours going forth in the future, and I leave Mew in the capable hands of Johan and Silas and wish them the very best on their continued journey," wrote the band's lead singer in an Instagram post.

As a result, Mew is inviting fans to join them for one more chapter — a heartfelt celebration of everything they've created together over the past three decades.

This tour is a thank-you to the community who supported them, resonated with their music, and helped turn their dreams into reality.

As part of their tour, they will also be performing in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Osaka, Tokyo, Taipei, and more. These are their show dates:

Tickets are on sale now, but two categories have already sold out!

KL fans wasted no time. As of now, the VIP Box (RM1,200) and Category 2 Premium Seats (RM248) sections are officially sold out.

The only tickets still available — Category 1 Standing (RM228) and Category 3 Standard Seats (RM218) are moving fast.

So, if you're planning to go, don't wait around like it's 2009 and you're downloading torrents. Hehe.

It's been over a decade since Mew last played in Malaysia, and the nostalgia is real

If you've ever wanted to sing along to Snow Brigade or lose it during the Apocalypso live outro — this is your chance.

You can get your tickets here now.

For many indie kids from the 2000s, Mew's dreamy art-rock sound was the background music to everything — from college heartbreaks to quiet LRT rides with your trusty old iPod Nano.

From cult favourites like Am I Wry? No to the goosebump-inducing Special, their music captured a very specific, very emotional era that still hits today.
