Eight years and eight seasons later, the hit HBO TV series aired its final episode on Sunday, 19 May.
While the now-iconic theme song has been covered countless times by musicians from all over the world, this might be the first time we've seen it played on traditional Malay musical instruments!
To commemorate the show's final season and the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Mahakarya Studios – a group of Malaysian musicians – recorded a medley of some of Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi's scores, including the Houses Stark and Greyjoy motifs as well as the main title theme.
