Good Vibes Festival (GVF) will be cancelled this year
In a media statement, the festival's organiser, Future Sound Asia, explained that the authorities issued a letter on 27 June stating that "large-scale performances involving international artistes are not to be held on 20 July and are to be rescheduled to a later date, out of respect for the Coronation Ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia".
"Due to the nature of GVF, which involves multiple touring acts over multiple days, rescheduling the festival is not possible. As a result, Future Sound Asia is announcing the cancellation of the festival, originally scheduled for 20 July and 21 July 2024," continued the statement.
