The world's oldest trading card game, Magic: The Gathering, is collaborating with one of the best Japanese role-playing games (RPG) of all time, Final Fantasy

Fans of Final Fantasy and Magic: The Gathering are in for a treat as Wizards of the Coast are revealing a new card from the upcoming collaboration set: Magic: The Gathering – FINAL FANTASY.

Eject is a four-mana blue card with an array of effects

Eject is an Uncommon, Instant card that lets players return nonland permanents into the owner's hand.

What makes Eject particularly effective compared to other 'bounce' spells is its versatile targeting. Unlike cards such as Into the Flood Maw, Eject isn't restricted to opponents' nonland permanents; you can choose any nonland permanent on the board, including your own.

Another key advantage is that Eject is an uncounterable spell. This makes it especially useful in symmetrical matches.

Finally, experienced players would classify this as a 'cantrip' because it allows the caster to draw a card, thereby replacing itself in their hand and ensuring no loss of card advantage.

This combination of flexible bouncing, uncounterability, and card replacement makes Eject a strong utility option and a cool feature of Aerith from Final Fantasy VII.

The Magic: The Gathering – FINAL FANTASY set will launch soon

The new Magic: The Gathering — FINAL FANTASY set will be released for tabletop play and on Magic: The Gathering Arena on 13 June.

Tabletop prerelease events will occur from 6 to 12 June. The set will launch on Magic: The Gathering Arena a bit earlier, on 10 June.
