How To Attend DBKL's Free Orchestral Concerts All Month Long This June At FOKL 2025
One city. One month. And a whole lot of violins.

Festival Orkestra Kuala Lumpur (FOKL) makes its grand return from 31 May to 29 June, offering a full month of free concerts, school showcases, international masterclasses, and even a regional music forum — all held in Kuala Lumpur.

Launched in 2024, FOKL is a DBKL initiative aimed at growing Malaysia's music scene and bringing orchestral music back into the spotlight.
This year, it returns bigger and louder, in partnership with the Kuala Lumpur Society, with the goal of positioning KL as a hub for orchestral excellence in Southeast Asia.

Expect performances from both Malaysian orchestras and international ensembles, including Japan's famed Tokyo Symphony Orchestra
Highlights include:
- Youth orchestras sharing the stage with professionals
- A special charity concert for the Malaysian Association for the Blind
- School showcases featuring over 60 schools across KL
- Masterclasses and mentorship sessions for aspiring musicians
- A regional forum on inclusivity, sustainability, and orchestra management
